Mr. Wells is a real estate entrepreneur with 18 years of commercial real estate finance, debt origination and risk management experience. Chris first worked as a commercial mortgage broker, structuring the close of purchase and refinance transactions for the principals of office, multifamily, retail and industrial assets in the Metro-Washington, DC market. This experience was leveraged in the role of a multifamily, portfolio risk manager at Fannie Mae. In 2013, Chris purchased a portfolio of self-managed apartment assets in Baltimore, Maryland and began investing in multifamily limited partnerships throughout Texas growth markets.

In 2015, Archway Capital relocated to Austin, Texas to continue investing with local operators for the purchase and reposition of multifamily assets in the Austin, San Antonio, Dallas and Houston markets. Self-managed, Austin single-family rental assets were added to the portfolio for a reposition, cash flow and hold strategy.

Mr. Wells has a BA from Boston College, an MBA from Northeastern University and an MS in real estate development from Johns Hopkins University.
